Clayton Horan dedicated thirty years of his life to educational theatre. He played many roles thoughout his career: scene designer, technical director, lighting designer, stage director. The role he loved most, however, was that of teacher.

In 2003, just three short years after he retired, Horan was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's Disease. To honor him, his family and friends worked to raise funds to support the Clayton Horan Fitness Center which is now open on Maplewood Campus.

Today, the Clayton Horan Fitness center is a proud part of the Therapy Suite located on Maplewood Campus in Canton, NY.
