The Society of the United Helpers, SUNY Canton's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the United Helpers Organizational Wellness Committee will host a day of fun and fitness. The 4th Annual Oktoberfest “Costumed” Prediction Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, October 25th at the Roos House on the SUNY Canton College Campus. Registration Begins at 9:00 am. Walkers will depart at 10:00 am and Runners will depart at 10:30 am. Runners and walker are encouraged to dress up as their favorite super hero or favorite Halloween character.
The Oktoberfest Run/Walk event is an opportunity for families and fitness enthusiasts to enjoy a morning of exercise and wellness, while supporting the mission of United Helpers.
“Proceeds from the Run/Walk go back to United Helpers’ residents,” Lori Smithers, Director of Development for United Helpers said. “With community support, events like the Run/Walk, help us to enhance the lives of our residents. We have been able to take residents on boat cruises, purchased gas grills and patios, activities and items that make a home more like home.”
In addition to the Run/Walk there will be a Wellness Expo featuring health and wellness tips. Presenters include The American Red Cross, SUNY Canton Fitness Center, North Country Prenatal/Perinatal Council, SUNY Canton EAP, and Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center. The fair is free and open to the public.
We hope you will join us!
