Updates, How We Are Protecting Your UH Family, and How You Can Help

Weekly Skilled Nursing Canton/Assisted Living update for the week of December 11, 2020

United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Canton currently has eight residents and five staff members positive for Covid-19.  The good news is that three residents and two staff members have fully recovered!  In the Assisted Living Program (ALP), there are two residents and one staff member positive as of today.   All positive residents and staff are stable, and we are looking forward to more recoveries next week.

Visitation remains suspended at this time and cannot resume until at least 14 days after the last positive Covid-19 case is reported.

All ALP residents were tested Thursday, 12/10/2020, and the nursing home residents will be tested again on Monday, 12/14/2020.  Resident testing will continue every 3-7 days until there are no more positive results.  Staff testing continues once per week per the governor’s guidance.  Any positive test results will be reported to residents and families within 24 hours.

Many thanks to the dedicated staff who continue to care for our residents during these difficult times.  And many thanks to the supportive and appreciative family members who have sent cards, meals, and their personal thanks to us.  We appreciate it very much and look forward to the day when you are able to come in, visit, and be active parts of our daily routines.
