Updates, How We Are Protecting Your UH Family, and How You Can Help

Weekly Skilled Nursing Update, Ogdensburg, for the week of January 15

United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Ogdensburg currently has 5 staff members that are out of work after testing positive for COVID-19 and 2 residents with active cases of COVID-19 in the facility. There have been no new cases of residents since January 6th  and 2 new staff this past week. Sadly, 23 residents have passed away that were confirmed as positive for COVID-19.

Our first vaccination clinic was held on January 5 in partnership with HealthDirect pharmacy in which many of our residents and staff were able to receive their first doses. Two more clinics are scheduled to give more first doses for residents and staff that did not get vaccinated on January 5th and to also give second doses for those that have already received their first dose.

Visitation remains suspended at this time and cannot resume until at least 14 days after no more positive cases arise.

All residents will continue to be tested every 3-7 days until there are no more positive results and staff will be tested twice weekly per recently updated New York State mandate.

Many thanks to the dedicated staff who continue to care for our residents during these difficult times.
