The RiverLedge Residence is a not-for-profit adult residence, serving St. Lawrence County and the North Country for more than 30 years. Located on Route 68, just outside of the city of Ogdensburg, our residence overlooks the picturesque St. Lawrence River and offers spectacular views of the river and seagoing vessels.
RiverLedge Residence offers both single and double occupancy and can accommodate up to 40 residents, with 32 private rooms and four suites. Monthly rates include: three meals & snacks daily; 24-hour on-site staff; assistance with housekeeping and laundry; and medication supervision. The RiverLedge Residence is not a skilled nursing facility or nursing home, however access to additional services is available should the need arise.
Rooms can be appointed with a bed and dresser, however, most people wish to furnish their own rooms. Rooms can comfortably accommodate a twin bed and dresser, with room for a television set, rocker and night stand. Cable television is available for a nominal fee and telephone hook-up is also available.
Adult children are often filled with mixed emotions when moving their parents out of their home ~ that is until they see them flourish in an environment rich with social opportunities and activities.
A lounge and separate dining area are a major part of the social center of the facility. Special programs, parties, church services, musical entertainment, and exercise classes are just some of the activities held each month at the residence. Sitting rooms, a lending library and hair salon are also available for resident use.
How To Choose...
The United Helpers organization is dedicated to helping seniors get the most out of their retirement years. Before deciding on which facility is right, you may wish to consult
family members, physicians,
and/or social workers to help you
evaluate your needs and the types of residences available.
Start with your lifestyle and your needs. Consider the type of care needed- from basic assistance in the activities of daily living to
special home care services.
See for yourself! Personal visits are always strongly recommended. Meet with the care team, tour the facility, sample the food, observe an activity, and ask lots of questions! Our care team is here to assist you. To schedule a private tour, simply give us a call.
