United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Ogdensburg has had 28 staff members and 32 residents test positive for COVID-19 this past week. No one has required hospitalization at this time but, sadly, one resident that had been terminally ill died yesterday that had tested positive earlier this week for COVID-19.
Since March 2020, there have been a total of 29 staff members and 32 residents with confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. All staff members have been removed from work and quarantining per Public Health requirements.
Visitation has been suspended at this time and cannot resume until at least 14 days after no more positive cases arise.
All staff and residents will be tested every 3-7 days until there are no more positive results. All residents that tested positive for COVID-19 have been separated from residents with negative results in different areas of the facility with dedicated staffing.
Many thanks to the dedicated staff who continue to care for our residents during these difficult times.
