Celebrating 125 Years of Always Caring!

On May 4, 2023, United Helpers celebrates its 125th anniversary of Always Caring.

125 Years of Always Caring

Founded in 1898 by a group of 10 ambitious women, United Helpers has been caring for individuals and families across the north country, providing a plethora of services for those in need. 125 years later, United Helpers continues to serve the community, emphasizing a vision of Always Caring.

125th Anniversary Recognition

On April 26th, 2023, Congresswoman Elise M. Stefanik spoke on the floor of Congress in Washington D.C., recognizing United Helpers for their 125 years of service in the North Country. Below are two statements by Congresswoman Stefanik:

For over a century, the organization has provided care for those who were impacted by unprecedented times and has always sought to provide value to their community in any way possible.

Their organization continues to grow and become even more successful in their mission to contribute necessary and vital services to individuals and families in need.

Community Recognition

City of Ogdensburg Proclamation

While honoring United Helpers for 125 years of service to the greater Ogdensburg community, Jeffrey M. Skelly, Mayor of the City of Ogdensburg, proclaimed May 4, 2023, as “United Helpers Day.”

Town of Canton Proclamation

Commemorating the 125th Anniversary of United Helpers, Canton Town Supervisor Mary Ann Ashley declared May 10th as “United Helpers Recognition Day” in the township!

Canton Park Clean Up

In light of the celebration for 125 years of Always Caring for our community, United Helpers employees came together to clean up Village Park in Canton! Giving back is our way of saying “Thank You” for more than 125 years of continued support, and it is clear that many people in the community are also Always Caring!

Dairy Festival

United Helpers partnered with Canton Daycare Center to participate in the “Delightfully Dairy” parade, as part of this year’s Dairy Festival. The float proudly showcased the Untied Helpers flag representing our 125-year legacy of Always Caring, taking home first place in the commercial division!
