The top three things you can do to protect yourself and others:
- Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently
- Social distance, staying at least six feet from others
- Wear a mask at all times when in public

Encourage Every Family Member at Home to
- Clean their hands at the door and wash their hands frequently
- Create habits and reminders to avoid touching their face and cover coughs and sneezes
- Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, countertops, tables, and handrails regularly
- Increase ventilation by opening a window
- Wear a cloth mask – instructions for wearing/making a mask
Households with Older Family Members or Those Who With Other Health Issues (heart, lung, kidney, diabetes)
- Healthy people, behave like you are at risk. Increase hand washing
- Provide a protected space for the vulnerable person in your home
- Ensure that all utensils and surfaces are cleaned regularly
Households with Sick Family Members
- Give the sick person their own room, keep the door closed
- Have only one family member provide care to the sick member
- Consider additional protection or more intensive care for sick family members over 65 years old or with underlying health conditions
