COVID: Testing

Testing

Stay positive, test negative. United Helpers follows the guidelines set forth by the NYS Department of Health (DOH) and the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and St. Lawrence County Public Health with regard to testing.

Getting results. In accordance with state guidelines, United Helpers utilizes two methods of testing antigen or rapid testing, which results in 15 minutes, and PCR or molecular testing that is sent to the hospital for processing. Resulting for PCR testing typically takes 24-72 hours, depending on the volume of testing.
