Sparx Construction Co.’s Garvey Ready to Help You With Your Next Home Project
With more than 20 years of experience in the building trades industry, there’s not much that Sparx Construction Company and General Contracting Project Manager Mike Garvey can’t do.
Mr. Garvey joins the United Helpers family after spending 17 years working as a facilities manager for another company in the area. During that time, he designed and built his own homes.
Prior to beginning his professional career, Mr. Garvey also worked for a local construction firm while in college.
He said he enjoyed his time working in facilities management, but returning to construction has been great.
“I like to interact with people and work on a variety of jobs. This is a nice change of pace,” he said.
Mr. Garvey handles the residential side of operations for Sparx Construction Company and General Contracting, while Ken Chase serves as project manager for the commercial side.
Anyone who works for United Helpers, part-time, full-time, or per-diem is entitled to a 10% employee discount for any home project completed by Sparx. This benefit is capped at $1,000.
Mr. Garvey said business is “starting to pick up,” so he encouraged anyone interested in a project for this year to reach out as soon as possible.
