Next Generation of UH Leaders Participate in Special Training
OGDENSBURG – The importance of investing in the future is a philosophy that United Helpers takes very seriously.
“We feel it is critical for our new leaders to learn and truly understand the difference between authority and leadership roles,” said United Helpers Vice President of Human Resources Michelle Matthews. “Leaders can influence your workforce in both positive and negative ways. Turnover, employee engagement, these are all things that leaders can have a positive impact on if we provide them with the tools and skills they need to do it well.”
As part of this commitment to leadership development, United Helpers partners with Abrahm DiMarco of the DiMarco Consulting Group to provide hands-on team building and leadership training sessions for employees recently promoted to leadership positions within United Helpers.
So far this year, three groups of employees have participated in sessions with Mr. DiMarco.
“We have had a working relationship with Mr. DiMarco for the past several years and are thrilled with what he brings to the table,” Matthews added. “It seems that every time he comes to work with a group of United Helpers employees, they leave his sessions with a better understanding of what it means to be a leader and new ways to tackle unexpected challenges.”
