Gateway Apartment Treatment
Designed to promote independence, recovery skills, and medication management necessary for community reintegration, Gateway Apartment Treatment provides housing, support, and education for people diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. Gateway staff are caring people who want to help residents learn the skills to live independently in the community. Supporting Independence
Gateway Apartment Treatment offers a safe, therapeutic living environment with 24-hour staff support for individuals 18 years of age and older who are diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness. Residents are encouraged to develop skills necessary for reintegration into the community while fostering the development of good personal relationships and the reduction of psychiatric symptomology.

About The Area
Gateway Apartment Treatment program is located in Ogdensburg, NY, and provides safe and supportive housing, offering eight double-occupancy apartments. The complex is situated just outside of the City center and is within walking distance of a grocery store, bank, restaurants, and other shops.
Apartments
Each apartment is furnished with a living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture, a television, linens, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils. The kitchen contains a refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffeemaker, and sink.
• There is also an onsite community lounge, laundry area and outdoor gazebo.
• Apartments are “smoke-free”. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available.
Recreation and socialization
Various forms of recreational activities are offered to Gateway residents including shopping and dining in area communities, visits to parks and beaches along the St. Lawrence River for picnics, fishing, or outdoor barbecues.
